I was introduced to ceramics at a very young age at the Riom School of Art, and went on to pursue my artistic exploration in the fields of painting and drawing before returning to ceramics in 2015. Having trained with various ceramists whose work I admired, I turned my attention to low-temperature firing techniques: techniques such as raku, sigillata, obvara and horse-hair firing, as well as earthenware decorated with engobes. I shape animals, trees and Moebius strips, which I polish at length before engraving patterns onto them, or busts modelled from life, which I then reinterpret.
Alongside my ceramic work, I draw and create prints (linocuts and drypoint) which I print in the studio.
Having originally trained in literature, I have always been drawn to books and I create artist’s books using printmaking, drawing, writing and bookbinding.
I offer three-hour workshops throughout the year according to a fixed schedule available on request, alternating between ceramic modelling, ceramic coffee (you come for the coffee but also to decorate earthenware pieces with engobes!), linocut and the creation of artist’s books as single copies or in very small editions.
I offer gift vouchers for workshops, which can also be booked as private sessions for small groups.
Workshops are for adults and teenagers only (except linocut, which is for adults only)
Everything in the studio is available for purchase.
