Route description
This tour takes you to the Chaîne des Puys, a volcanic complex of 80 volcanoes dominated by the Puy de Dôme (1,465 m).
Trail highlights
– Lake Aydat.
– The Cheire forest.
– Saint-Saturnin and its Romanesque church.
– The Monne gorges.

Étape 1 : Departing from the Aydat volcanic reservoir, you’ll wind your way through the forests of the Cheire.
Étape 2 : You’ll reach the Serre mountain plateau (birdwatching site) before descending to Saint-Saturnin, where you’ll discover its 12th-century Romanesque church.
Étape 3 : Afterwards, you climb up to Olloix before heading uphill through the beautiful Monne gorges.
Approx. 1 hr 50 min. at an average speed of 20 km/h.
