Route description

Departure from Place de l’Oche. From Riom, take the direction of Montluçon. After Davayat, turn right towards St-Myon. Enter the village, turn right just after the inn and park on the square. Departure sign for La Morge.

Step 1 : The route continues on the left. Ignore the paths on the right and follow the river as far as the Fradet mill (can be visited).

Step 2 : Continue along this road, crossing the departmental road, following it to the left for 100 m and turning right onto the small road to Bougerol. Stay on this road until you reach the Cacherat cliffs.

Step 3 : Go down the steps to the left and follow the Morge for 450 m along a wooded path. Leave the footbridge on your left and rejoin the road. Pass the Bougerol mill. Turn left, then take the footbridge over the Morge. Go up into Parret.

Step 4 : At the crossroads, turn left onto a carriage road.
a house and take the track on the left (between the two buildings). Join the Morge river and continue along the track to the D223. Cross the road, turn right and then left. Follow this road down to the church, then continue downhill until you reach the D985. Follow this road back to the starting point.
