Saint-Myon – Saint-Médulphe church – ENS Val de Morge – Puy de Loule
Step 985 : Cross the road and turn right over the bridge over the Morge. At the next bend, turn left towards Bougerol. At the first fork in the road (another yellow signposted circuit), stay on the tarmac. After 150 m, leave the road and turn left up a flight of steps leading to the bank of the Morge. Follow the path through the undergrowth, which rejoins the road shortly before Bougerol. After the buildings, continue straight ahead on the track between woods and fields. At the first crossroads, go down to the left, cross the Morge by a footbridge and, immediately afterwards, turn left. Continue as far as the hamlet of Parret. Follow rue de la Plage and go straight on to rue Félix Lefaure.
Step 1 : Turn left into this street and, after about 100 m, take the path on the right, which, after crossing the D223, rises towards the puy de Loule. Ignore the three adjacent paths (with views of Saint-Myon and Artonne) and reach a fork in the road. Take the path that climbs to the right for 100 m, up to the first bend.
Step 2 : Leave this gravel path and turn left onto the grassy path. At the first crossroads, turn left and descend to a T-junction (view of Limagne, Livradois-Forez and the Chaîne des Puys). Go left for about 100 m, then right. Reach and cross the D985 and immediately turn right. After 100 m, turn left and continue to a crossroads (isolated walnut tree).
Step 3 : Turn left, at right-angles, onto the grassy path (yellow markers) and continue to a crossroads near a grove. Turn right to reach a cement cross. Turn left onto the stony track and follow it to a path on the left just before the forest.
Step 4 : Follow it. At the end of a bend to the left, take the first track to the right. Continue until you reach the houses. At the crossroads, turn right into Rue de Loche. At the end of this road, go straight ahead (route de Combronde) to get back to the starting point.
