In the Puy-de-Dôme region, this itinerary pays tribute to the beauty of the volcanoes of the Chaîne des Puys – Limagne fault, with over 200 kilometers of marked trails and some of the most beautiful stages of the GTMC.
The stages and connections allow you to enjoy a wild, unspoilt nature, but also an exceptionally rich heritage and know-how.
The route is mythical, the promise of adventure is not empty, and the GTMC’s Auvergne sector, with its volcanic temperament, takes on the air of a challenge.
The(…)
All year round daily.
Subject to favorable snow and weather conditions.
The route is fully accessible by electric bike.
For your own safety, please check your bike’s roadworthiness (tires/brakes) and take any repair kit you may need, as well as refreshments (water and food).
Dogs allowed Although not recommended, some mountain bikers may travel with pets. In such cases, it will be essential to carry the animal or keep it on a leash on sections of the route shared with motorized traffic, as well as on paths where the presence of animals is regulated.
On paths where the presence of animals is forbidden by decree (in National Parks in particular), mountain bikers will have to find an alternative route on paths where the presence of animals is not regulated, or temporarily separate themselves from their animal on the stages concerned.
