Marking Specific markings for the Grandes Traversées à VTT (FFC label) : white signs with triangles and red circles, complete with the name of the route. These markers are usually affixed to trees or posts along the route.
Created over twenty years ago for mountain bike enthusiasts, the Grande Traversée du Massif Central à VTT is a mythical route, a collector’s item like few others in France.
Today, the GTMC-VTT is back in the spotlight, bigger, more accessible, more modern. Dogs allowed Although not recommended, some mountain bikers may travel with pets. In such cases, it will be essential to carry the animal or keep it on a leash on sections of the route shared with motorized traffic, as well as on paths where the presence of animals is regulated.
On paths where the presence of animals is forbidden by decree (in National Parks in particular), mountain bikers will have to find an alternative route on paths where the presence of animals is not regulated, or temporarily separate themselves from their animal on the stages concerned.
