Lac Chambon – Baignade Chambon

Lac Chambon is unique in that it belongs administratively to the communes of Murol and Chambon-sur-Lac.
The lake is ideal for swimming (2 beaches – Murol beach and Chambon beach), water sports (pedalo and canoe hire) and fishing.

Lac Chambon is unique in that it belongs administratively to the communes of Murol and Chambon-sur-Lac.
The lake is ideal for swimming (2 beaches – Murol beach and Chambon beach), water sports (pedalo and canoe hire) and fishing.
It’s also possible to stroll around the lake on the Voie Verte, which takes about 1 hour to walk around (less than 4.5 km) or cycle.

Chambon’ beach : secure play area with slides, swings, zip line, suspension bridges… Paddling pool open to the public in July and August (parents responsible). Picnic tables, benches, WC, water point, changing area and parking nearby.
Stroller access.
Bivouacs, fires and barbecues prohibited.

Parking lots along the lake and near the 2 beaches.
The ‘plage Chambon’ has been awarded Tourisme & Handicap status for 3 disabilities : motor, hearing and mental.
The tourist office adjacent to this beach is Tourism & Handicap marked for 4 disabilities : hearing, motor and mental.
A fishing pontoon is accessible to people with reduced mobility near the Murol beach.
