Étape 1 : From the start sign in Place du Bicentenaire de la Révolution, walk past the church and take the first turning on the left towards Saint-Sulpice. At the fork in the road (cross), turn right (Chez Jallas). Cross the road and continue straight ahead on the tarmac path. At the edge of the wood, turn right. At the next fork in the road, turn left up into the woods and follow the path around a bend to the left.

Étape 2 : Take this path along the edge of the wood. At the road (cross), turn left and continue straight ahead, passing a reservoir. Go downhill, cross the river and after 50 m turn left. After 100 m, turn left as far as the Combas mill and join the path via wooden steps. Keep to the left until you reach the road.

Étape 3 : Turn left down the road, which becomes a footpath. Go straight ahead and, at the bottom of the valley, turn right to reach the Camp. Follow the barracks to the road.

Étape 4 : Go right for 200 m. Leave the road, go left, leaving a military site, and take the wide path running alongside the wood for about 1 km. At the road, cross over and continue along the track opposite. Take the first track on the left, go up and through the hamlet of Ribeyroux. At the road, continue straight ahead. At the crossroads, take the first track on the left. Go straight through Muratel until you reach a stop sign.

Étape 5 : Follow the road to the right for 200 m, then take the tarmac track on the left. After 600 m, turn right at the crossroads. Follow the edge of the wood to the first track on the right.

Étape 6 : Take it (view of Herment). Turn left at the T-junction. After the first building, turn right. At the road, turn left to get back to the starting point.

Additional information

For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on the weather conditions, some routes are not recommended in bad weather (fog) or are not practicable, or even forbidden, during the winter season.
Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked paths. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your rubbish.
