Church of Saint Madeleine

Briffons

The church of Sainte Madeline dates from the 12th &13th centuries. The murals have a mysterious origin and date from the 17th and 19th centuries. The vaults are covered in starry skies, and vegetable motifs.

All the stained glass windows (19th century), created by the famous master stained glass artist Félix Gaudin, are dedicated to Mary Magdalene. The bulbous bell tower gives Sainte-Madeleine church an elegant look and makes it easily recognizable.
