Alternating between singles, steps and wide paths, you’ll be able to vary your riding pleasure over a very short distance – ideal for a quick lunch break!

Start – A path appears between two properties at the end of Rue des Oiseaux; take it to discover a very pleasant single in the forest with a fairly steep slope and some stairways. At the top of the hill, turn right onto the road and enjoy the panoramic view over Clermont-Ferrand.

1 – A hundred metres further on, the route continues to the right on undulating paths alternating between passages surrounded by vegetation and open stretches with views of the town 200 m below. Follow the blue markings and the trail.

2 – The route continues right along a narrower path than the previous section, then turns right again at the electricity pylons. Descend the single track alongside the sheep meadows to join the Chemin de Blanzat. This takes you left towards the Col de Brancillon. At the pass, turn left on the signposted path, then left again 500 m further on.

3 – Wide paths lead you to a Gallo-Roman archaeological site, where some remains remain. Slalom between the sites, following the signs, to reach the relay antenna gates. From here, you return to the road you took on the outward journey. Follow it westwards until you reach the stairs you climbed at the start. Take advantage of the technical descent to return to Rue des Oiseaux and your arrival point.
