N°7 – On the heights of Aubusson – Espace VTT-FFCT

Like circuit no. 5, this signposted loop passes through Puymillier and its four-hundred-year-old mulberry tree, classified as one of France’s remarkable trees, before joining the path linking La Bournélie to La Félolie, offering superb panoramic views of the Chaîne des Puys. The descent to Aubusson-d’Auvergne takes a slightly technical path behind the ruins of the Château de Montgon, and leads to the village church, home to a magnificent 12th-century Romanesque Madonna in Majesty. The circuit then circles the lake before passing through the villages of Tournebize and La Souche. After a rapid descent and crossing of the Espinasse stream, a final climb leads to Champblanc, before returning to the road to the nature center.
