This signposted circuit begins by crossing the Parc Lasdonnas, offering a fine view of the walls of Courpière’s ancient medieval village, before skirting the Dore and heading up towards La Peyrouse. Near the RD223, a slight detour leads to the château d’Aulteribe, one of the best furnished in France, and a visit is highly recommended. The route then passes through the village of Sermentizon before reaching the former commandery of the Hospitallers of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem at Courtesserre. The return to Courpière alternates between paths and tracks, passing by the Saint-Pierre institution, where some of the dormitory scenes in the film Les Choristes were filmed.
