Starting from the village of Blanzat, the ‘Côtes and Puy de Var Trail’ is a compact and demanding loop, ideal for working on elevation gain, stride length and acceleration. Winding through the sensitive natural area of the Côtes de Clermont, this route takes you along rocky ridges to the summit of the Puy de Var.
Highlights of the trail run : • The ascent of the Puy de Var : Your efforts are rewarded with a breathtaking view over the Bédat Valley, the Limagne plain and the Chaîne des Puys. • Highly varied terrain : A rhythmic mix of single-track trails through woodland, rocky paths along the ridges, fast sections across the plateau and technical descents. • Immersion in a sensitive natural environment : A route through the heart of dry high-altitude grasslands and woodland typical of the Côtes plateau. • An excellent training ground : Ideal for a short, dynamic ride or specific hill training.
