Route description

A family trail to discover the Charensat forest and the Etang du Chevalet.Explanatory signs accompany walkers along the route to introduce them to the flora and fauna.

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step

Step 1 : ? ? L’emprunter et poursuivre tout droit. Au croisement en T, aller à gauche. A 50m de
l’étang, le chemin s’oriente à droite puis rejoint le bord de l’étang. Le suivre sur la gauche (table
de pique-nique, vue champêtre) Après l’étang, le sentier continue dans la forêt, chevauché en
partie par un chemin de débardage. Continuer sur celui-ci jusqu’à un croisement avec un sentier
sur la droite, situé dans une petite montée.

2 – Suivre ce sentier à droite. Dépasser par la droite une prise d’eau et continuer sur un
large chemin gravillonné. Traverser une route et poursuivre en face sur le sentier forestier. Un
chemin de débardage supplante en partie le sentier forestier puis celui-ci remonte vers le point
de départ.

Beware of tree felling along the route.
For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on the weather conditions, some routes are not recommended in bad weather (fog) or are not practicable, or even forbidden, during the winter season.
Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked paths. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your rubbish.
