Situated at an altitude of 750 m, the Rivalet site is an excellent introduction to rock climbing and an essential local stop-off point for discovering the pleasures of rock climbing.
The cliff, comprising 58 routes in 5 sectors, faces south, making it accessible almost all year round. On non-abrasive granitic rock, the 20-80 m routes range from 3a to 7b+ on relatively fractured, not very vertical slabs. Equipment is recent on most sectors.
How to get there :
A75 freeway, exit N°6 Besse/Saint-Nectaire, then pass Champeix and Montaigut le Blanc. At the Rivalet bridge, head for Saint-Nectaire. Grand Parking 1 km on the left. The rock is above the road.
Special recommendations : helmets recommended. School site.
Beware of ejector holds, especially at the end of winter.

Parking : park on the large roadside parking lot.
