Guided tours inside the Temple of Mercury + immersive virtual reality tours at 11 :30 a.m., 2 :00 p.m., and 3 :00 p.m.

Exclusively, step inside the Temple of Mercury and follow in the footsteps of 2nd-century AD pilgrims, accompanied by a tour guide. After the tour, embark on a journey through time aboard a gondola : using our virtual reality headsets, discover the temple in all its grandeur, just as it appeared in its heyday.

Special Open House at the Clermont-Ferrand Observatory of Earth Physics (OPGC)
10 :00 a.m., 11 :00 a.m., 2 :00 p.m., 3 :00 p.m., and 4 :00 p.m. (duration : approximately 1 hour ; online registration required)
The Observatory of Earth Physics is opening its doors to the public for this special event and will share the history of this research facility, which is closely linked to the rediscovery of the Temple of Mercury in the late 19th century. Researchers will also offer a tour of their atmospheric measurement research laboratory.

Tours of the underground passages of the former Chalet of the Puy de Dôme Observatory
Continuously from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (duration : approximately 15 minutes ; no registration required)
In these remnants of the underground passages, take a journey through time with vintage postcards of the Puy de Dôme from the late 19th century to the present day, offering a glimpse into different periods of the Puy de Dôme’s history.

Guided tours of the Panoramique des Dômes maintenance center

Special open house at the storage facility for the Panoramique des Dômes rack-and-pinion train. Discover what a maintenance technician’s day entails, the role of the dispatcher, and how the train is maintained.
