Gathering and cooking wild plants” course

Le Couvent and Guy Lalière, botanist from Auvergne, offer a 2-day course to immerse yourself in nature and learn toto recognize edible and medicinal wild plants as they are discovered.

Over 2 days, this wild plant discovery course
will take you to 2 (or 3) sites, depending on the weather :
– in a semi-mountainous area around the yurt in Nadaillat (10 minutes from Veyre-monton)
– on the site of an ancient troglodytic dwelling dug into the Puy de Monton cliff :(…)

Additional information

Trainees will learn how to :
– identify wild plants, using simple means of identification based on our 5 senses.
– learn how to gather them in the purest respect for nature
– discover different methods of preservation and preparation
– cook edibles and prepare simple remedies from the medicinal plants encountered.
