Castle Dauphin

Fortified castle, listed as a historic monument. Built at the end of the 12th century and complete in the 15th century. There is a dungeon and six turets, it is still lived in today. A vegetable garden which is labelled as ‘remarkable’ and a silver mining museum exist in the grounds.

The castle includes a keep and six towers restored in the 19th century. It retains its defensive aspect but the interior, harmoniously laid out, is warm with its wood panelling (classified M.H), its 17th and 18th century furniture and its many family souvenirs. From 05/04 to 30/06 on Sunday and bank holidays between 2 pm and 6 pm. Closed from Monday to Saturday.

From 01/07 to 31/08 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and weekends between 1.30 pm and 7.30 pm. Closed on Monday.

From 01/09 to 01/11 on Sunday and bank holidays between 2 pm and 6 pm. Closed from Monday to Saturday.
