The church of Saint-Alyre stands at an altitude of over 1,100 meters, on the edge of the Cézallier massif and its summer pastures.
Volcanic materials and slate roofs give it a robust character, blending in with its environment marked by the harshness of the climate. The open space to the west of the church, facing Mount Chabrut, is a privileged vantage point from which to enjoy the Cézallier’s distinctive landscapes.
