Like many of its congeners, it was Christianized with strong elements added to the building over the centuries. At one time, it was topped by a small block of basalt in which a cross was set. During the French Revolution, the cross was broken, restored and then destroyed again due to lack of maintenance. Don’t hesitate to pay it a visit, as the view of the Sancy volcano nearby is breathtaking !

Access : via a dirt track off the D640, the menhir is at the crossroads on the right.
