Located in the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park, the Moulin des Desniers is a building dating back to the 16th century. Preserved and maintained by the Regional Association of Friends of the Mills of Auvergne, it is part of the historical heritage of the Puy-de-Dôme department.
Set in a landscape of rolling green hills, this lively place is well worth a visit. All year round, guided tours allow visitors to discover a working watermill producing its own flour for demonstrations using traditional methods.
To take part in the life of the mill, activities such as making your own bread are offered, for both children and adults.
Outside the mill, you can enjoy a beautiful tree-filled park around the stream that brings water to the mill. Along the way, you will discover the millrace, the donkeys and the surrounding meadows.
Just 30 minutes from Riom and one hour from Clermont-Ferrand, the Moulin des Desniers is waiting for you !
