Chamalières

Events relating to the Second World War are recounted, from the rise of Nazism to the Nuremberg trials, as well as the events that marked Auvergne from 1939 to 1945. Temporary exhibitions are held throughout the year.

Created in 1994 by Jean Bac, the Musée de la Résistance looks at the history of the Second World War from a local, national and international perspective. From 02/01 to 20/09/2025 from Monday to Saturday between 1 pm and 6 pm.
Closed exceptionally on Easter Monday, Feast of the Ascension, Whit Monday, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th and August 15th.

From 16/10/2025 to 20/01/2026 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 2 pm and 6 pm.
Closed exceptionally on January 1st, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th.
