The Saint-Pierre-des-Minimes church was built in the 17th century in Jesuit style and crowned with a dome in the 19th century. The theater was also built in the 19th century, on the site of a former cloth market. The department store known as “les galeries de Jaude”, based on the famous Parisian examples, dates from the early 20th century. Two statues stand on the square: Nanteuil’s General Desaix and Bartholdi’s Vercingétorix. The square has been elegantly redesigned in the 21st century to accommodate the tramway line.
Place de Jaude is the ideal place for all kinds of shopping.
