Messeix
Situated on the border between the Sancy massif and the Corrèze, Messeix is nestled in lush green surroundings. Discover its mining history at the Minérail Museum, step back in time to a 1930s school classroom, and finally relax by the Béal des Roziers lake.
Set off on a 5.5 km walk to explore the village of Messeix, with lovely panoramic views of the Sancy massif and the Chavanon viaduct (starting from the Béal des Roziers lake).
In summer, you can swim in the lake (unsupervised), unless a local by-law states otherwise.
