UNESCO House: Chaîne des Puys - Limagne Fault
Located in the heart of Clermont-Ferrand, within theHôtel du Département, the Maison de l'UNESCO - Chaîne des Puys - faille de Limagne is a free public space dedicated to the discovery and promotion of this exceptional geological site listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In Clermont-Ferrand, a gateway to a unique world heritage site
Thanks to a modern, interactive scenography, including equipment such as a touch table and an animated wall, visitors can understand the geological phenomena that led to the formation of the Chaîne des Puys and the Limagne fault. The site also provides information on the role played by the Chaîne des Puys in the development of the département.
A shop to celebrate the puydômoise identity
The Maison de l'UNESCO also houses a shop offering a range of products in the Department's colours: T-shirts, polo shirts, caps, down jackets, tote bags, mugs, posters, COBI construction sets, etc.
