Issoire and its abbey church, Montpeyroux and its keep, Champeix and its gardens, Saint-Floret and its castle. These picturesque towns and villages each have their own particularities and originality. But they’re not the only stars of this route : beautiful towns and sumptuous landscapes await you at every turn. The meandering Allier, the wooded volcanoes of the Comté, the domes of the Chaîne des Puys and the sharp teeth of the Sancy are just some of the sights you’ll have time to contemplate on the plateaus between Issoire and Champeix.

This cycloboucle presents no major difficulties, but has the distinctive feature of a very bumpy itinerary, chopped up between descents and climbs.
