The village and gardens of Champeix

Champeix

Dominated by the Marchidial chapel (now an exposition hall), Champeix spreads itself over the banks of the Couze Chambon river. Climb up the narrow streets of the Marchidial and admire the gardens and the panoramic view.

Built in a meander of the Couze Chambon, between hillsides planted with vines and terraced orchards, the village of Champeix has a southern and wine-growing atmosphere. The winegrower’s houses are brightly coloured and the roofs of red tiles highlighted with inconvenience.
The different districts underline the history of the city.(…)
