Route description

Royat, the starting point for beautiful walks between town and nature ; the route takes in pleasant paths between old villages and new districts that encircle the town.

We’re on the edge of a fault here, but apart from the gradual ascent between the spa and Gravenoire, this loop is within the reach of as many people as possible.

Start : Place Allard, Royat, up the tiretaine

Difficulty : Ascent between the Royat cemetery and the D5

Close to a public transportation, Bus stop < 500 m, TER stop (regional train) within 500 m, Less than 10 minutes from a bus stop on foot

Access

By bus : line B – 5 – 26 “Place Allard”, or line 5 “Barreiras”, boulevard Romeuf. By train : Royat station from Clermont, La Rotonde, Durtol.
Parking recommended at the grotte des laveuses ; difficult in the center of Royat, especially during the spa season.
