Go up the parking lot to the old toll booth (barriers) and take the yellow PR “Tour du puy de Dôme” on the left, which leads to the Col de Ceyssat through the Rochetoux woods.

Once at the Col de Ceyssat, take the GR Chemin des Muletiers towards the summit, winding up the 365 m ascent to the summit.

From the summit of Puy de Dôme, take the GR chemin des Chèvres. Take the road alongside the cogwheel railway for about 300 m to the stairs, then continue on the GR to the Cîme de la Plaine.
Turn right onto the yellow PR “Tour du Puy de Dôme” to reach the Maison de Site.
