Le Vertige is a nature campsite offering 6 splendid pitches on 2 hectares of lush greenery, with a breathtaking view over Le Puy de Dôme and the Chaine des puys. It is surrounded by meadows and forests. The campsite is the starting point for numerous walks. You’ll discover the Auvergne countryside with its wide-open spaces, where you can go hiking, horse-riding or biking on the lovely signposted paths. If you pay close attention, you’ll discover a wealth of wildlife (roe deer, wild boar, foxes…) and flora (wild daffodils, wild strawberries, mushrooms…).

At Le Vertige, you’ll find a badminton court, tennis table, playground equipment and a 4 m/70 cm above-ground swimming pool. In one of the buildings, you’ll find all the sanitary facilities for campers : 2 toilets, 2 showers, 2 washbasins and a sink. In the event of inclement weather, we open a friendly shelter.

If you wish, you can discover pretty villages with their markets where you can sample local cheeses and products. Le Vertige is well placed for exploring and visiting a number of towns : Issoire, Ambert, Clermont Ferrand, Billom, La Chaise Dieu, Le Puy en Velay, the Puy de Dôme and other volcanoes, or spending a day on the banks of the Vernet-la-Varenne lake (swimming) 13 km away.

Afterwards, you can enjoy the beautiful evenings in the countryside. In the evening, you can build a fire with the dead wood you’ve found in the nearby forest – there’s a fire pit for this purpose – or enjoy the fantastic starry sky and sunset.
We’ll also be delighted to welcome you to our table d’hôtes in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
