The Chapelle de Vassivière is a major place of pilgrimage and prayer in the Auvergne. Set back in the mountains, it was the brainchild of Catherine de Médicis, and in summer is home to the Vierge Noire de Vassivière (Black Madonna of Vassivière).

From 02/07 to 27/09/2026 daily between 9 am and 6 pm.
Store open 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm.
