Saint-Saturnin
A mighty fortified castle built in the 13th century, it was embellished in the 15th century under the influence of the Renaissance and became the property of Queens Catherine de’ Medici and Marguerite de Valois, and later of King Louis XIII.
This enchanting place opens onto parks and gardens set against the backdrop of the Auvergne Volcanoes Natural Park. It is located near the charming Romanesque church in the village.

In July and August, guided tours are offered Sunday through Thursday from 2 :00 p.m. to 6 :00 p.m., with tours departing every hour.

From 01/06 to 22/09 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday between 2 pm and 6 pm.
June : Saturdays and Sundays, every hour from 2pm to 6pm inclusive.
July-August-September : Sunday to Thursday inclusive, all hours from 2pm to 6pm inclusive.
Closed after September 21, 2025.
