Saint Maurice Church

Saint-Maurice-près-Pionsat

This church is a historical monument which was expanded and restored in the 19th and 20th centuries. Part of it dates back to the 12th and 13th centuries (the portal to the choir). There are beautiful paintings and sculptures to see in this church.

It is possible to distinguish two capitals : the north capital with hooks imitating acanthus leaves, and the south capital showing Adam and Eve committing original sin.
