The FRAC’s mission is to provide a better understanding of contemporary artistic creation in the region. It builds up and distributes a collection of over 1,000 works of contemporary art.
Located next to the Cathedral, the Fonds Régional d’Art Contemporain – FRAC Auvergne – organizes a number of temporary exhibitions each year, and major names in contemporary art such as David Lynch, Luc Tuymans, Albert Oehlen and Gregory Crewdson have exhibited here in recent years.

From 25/09 to 30/11 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 2 pm and 6 pm. On Sunday between 3 pm and 6 pm. Closed exceptionally on January 1st, Easter Monday, Feast of the Ascension, Whit Monday, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th.
