In 2026, a new visitor route will be unveiled, featuring a complete redesign of the exhibition space that preserves and showcases the region’s archaeological heritage. And the exceptional temporary exhibition “Bargoin en Combrailles” will continue to be on display !
Discover the new permanent exhibition, featuring numerous objects spanning 5,000 years of history, from flint daggers unearthed at the Neolithic dolmen of Saint-Étienne-des-Champs to Romanesque capitals from the medieval village of Herment. From 01/07 to 31/08/2026 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and weekends between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm and between 2 pm and 6 pm. Closed on Monday.
Guided tours at 11 a.m., 2.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m.
