Imagine a stay with friends, far from the hustle and bustle, nestled in the heights of Thiers, in a veritable cocoon of tranquility.
For 4 days and 3 nights, take up the challenge of a car-free getaway, punctuated by sporting activities, outdoor pursuits and discovery.
You’ll be staying in a cosy, 3-star Gîtes de France-approved “Ecogîte” for 6 to 8 people (3 bedrooms), with a breathtaking view of the Chaîne des Puys.
And for even greater comfort, home delivery is available by prior arrangement.
A transport-on-demand service (to be booked the day before) makes it easy to get to and from the gite, train station and town center, by combining the possibilities.

Car-free holiday program :

Day 1 : Arrival and installation
Arrive at the 3 cousins gîte in the late afternoon. Remember to do your shopping beforehand to fill the fridge, or opt for home delivery, booking in advance.
In the evening, relax and play under the arbour with a spectacular view of the Chaîne des Puys and the Limagne fault.
Dinner and overnight stay at the gîte.

Day 2 : Hiking and discovering Thiers
Hike to the heart of Thiers, the city of cutlery. Explore its sloping streets, admire its amphitheatrical houses and immerse yourself in its fascinating history.
Lunch on your own.
Possible visit to the museum and workshop to make your own knife (optional).
Return to the gîte at the end of the day.
Dinner and overnight stay at the gîte.

Day 3 : Day-long loop hike in the Margerides, 11 km (400 m ascent) to Vallée des Rouets.
Lunch on your own
Visit to the Vallée des Rouets to complete the visit to the museum.
Dinner and overnight stay at the gîte.

Day 4 : Morning relaxation and departure at the end of the morning Take advantage of the vast outdoor spaces to recharge your batteries before hitting the road again, taking with you beautiful memories of a successful car-free adventure.
