This unique tourist route crosses an area rich in history, unspoilt landscapes and, above all, a vibrant, living craft heritage. It links some sixty craftsmen, artists and small local businesses, all passionate about their craft and keen to share their passion with the public.

A visit to the Route des Métiers means entering the intimacy of often discreet workshops, tucked away in small villages or in the heart of the countryside.

Away from the main tourist routes, visitors are welcomed by the craftspeople themselves: potters, woodturners, blacksmiths, cutlers, weavers, jewellers, cabinetmakers, glassmakers, as well as soapmakers, bookbinders and wooden toy makers.

These professionals pass on not only their skills, but also the values ofauthenticity, patience and respect for materials.
