Afternoon
Continue your tour at the summit to visit the Temple of Mercury, a Gallo-Roman archaeological site and unique vestige dating from the IIᵉ century AD.
Through an immersive tour, equipped with augmented reality goggles, immerse yourself in the history and grandeur of this iconic site.

Settle into a charming volcanic gîte or hotel in Orcines.
Day 2 : Exploring Vulcania and the open-air volcanoes
Morning
Spend the morning at Vulcania park, an interactive centre dedicated to the world of volcanoes and the Earth. Enjoy fun activities, 3D projections, immersive exhibitions and, in summer, spectacular evening events.

Lunch at Vulcania's restaurant, with catering options for all the family.
Afternoon
Head for Puy de Lemptégy, an open-air volcano.
Take part in a guided tour (on foot or by small train) to understand how volcanoes are formed and admire the volcanic chimneys. Here, you 'll be walking inside a real volcano !
In summer, the Réveil du Volcan (Volcano Awakening), a night-time tour with light and sound, will take your breath away !

Return to your accommodation for a convivial and relaxing evening.
Day 3 : Velorail ride over the valley and city walk in Clermont-Ferrand
Morning
Head for the vélorail des Fades, a unique experience with friends or family to explore the green volcanic landscapes of the Combrailles.
Pedal at your own pace, crossing tunnels and bridges. From the Fades viaduct, an architectural feat, admire the breathtaking view over the Sioule valley from a height of around 100 metres.

Lunch at the Auberge La Vieille Ferme in Les Ancizes Comps. Local restaurant nearby, serving regional and seasonal dishes.
Afternoon
Explore Clermont-Ferrand, with its famous black lava-stone cathedral and the Place de Jaude overlooked by the statue of Vercingetorix.
Finish the day with a stroll through the Lecoq Gardens.
Day 4 : Saint-Nectaire cheese tasting and medieval village
Morning
Stop off at a local farm to find out how Saint-Nectaire, the famous cheese from Auvergne, is made, and enjoy a tasting session.
This is also an opportunity to take home some Auvergne products.
Lunch
Head for the Sancy massif for the next part of your tasting of local produce in a restaurant in Besse, accompanied by an Auvergne wine.
Afternoon
Take a stroll through the Petite Cité de Caractère® of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise, a medieval village known for its lava stone architecture and charming little streets.

Day 5 : Final panorama and well-being

Day 6 : Nature break, swimming and water sports

A walk through the heart of the Chaudefour valley, a magnificent glacial valley and nature reserve that is home to protected flora and fauna.

Afternoon
Head to Lac d'Aydat for some sport on the volcanic lake on a paddle, canoe, catamaran or windsurf.
