Amboise Fountain

Thanks to the patronage of Bishop Jacques d’Amboise, this rare Volvic stone fountain was built in 1515.

The structure, particularly the flying buttresses, is still Gothic. But the candelabras and lavish decor bear witness to the Renaissance style.
