Puy de Montrognon

Ceyrat

A well-known site in the Clermont-Ferrand area, the puy de Montrognon and its ruined tower dominate the towns of Beaumont, Ceyrat and Romagnat.

Its slopes are home to a variety of Mediterranean plant and insect species, including many orchids, protected by the European Natura 2000 network.

The 699-metre-high summit of Montrognon offers a pleasant view of Clermont-Ferrand, the Limagne plain and the Chaîne des Puys.
