Apidae Tourism platform
1. Distributing tourist information
Apidae enables tourist information to be captured, stored and used to inform visitors about what the network's client destinations have to offer. This information is distributed at reception, by telephone or by e-mail, and/or used to feed the digital projects of the members of the community (web and mobile sites, interactive terminals, information panels, publications, etc.). More than 2,500 projects are currently based on the platform.
2. Organisation in the Puy-de-Dôme
- At departmental level
The Puy-de-Dôme Departmental Council (CD63) is responsible for coordinating the department's network of Tourist Offices. The aim is to support users in using the platform: hotline, setting up digital projects, training, etc.
The Apidae coordinator for the department also has the task of collecting the various needs expressed in the field in order to share them with the Apidae network and participate in the development of the platform with his counterparts in other departments.
Some of CD63's departments also enter information into Apidae, but this is only done on the margins: a few events organised by the department and walks managed by CD63.
In the Puy-de-Dôme, the Tourist Offices are autonomous in the management of tourist data in their areas of responsibility. They create the offers and update them in conjunction with the socio-professionals in their area on the platform. In each Tourist Office, there is at least one Apidae contact person who has taken a 3-day administrator training course. 1. What is the Place de Marché du Puy-de-Dôme?
The Place de Marché du Puy-de-Dôme is a virtual space which enables the Department's tourist offer to be redistributed on different platforms so that they can be booked online. The aim is to enable you to become more professional by offering Internet users the opportunity to book your tourist offer online.
2. How does it work in practice?
On the one hand, you have the tools you need to manage your bookings and schedules. These tools are numerous and vary according to the type of service (hotels, self-catering and furnished accommodation, activities, etc.). These tools communicate with the Market Place, which aggregates all your availability data in real time.
On the other hand, the Marketplace then redistributes this availability information in real time, enabling web users to book your services online via a wide range of websites.
These include institutional websites such as those of the Tourist Office or the Department, as well as your own websites, where you can book your services directly.
The aim of the Market Place is to avoid you having to multiply your planning. A single schedule for greater visibility.
3. I'd like to take advantage of the Puy-de-Dôme marketplace, but I don't have a tool to manage my bookings. How do I go about it?
Don't panic, we've got you covered. The Puy-de-Dôme Departmental Council and the department's network of Tourist Offices have provided you with tools free of charge.
These tools allow you to manage your bookings and communicate with the Puy-de-Dôme marketplace to offer online bookings. Several tools are available, depending on the nature of your tourist offer.
