Notre-Dame-de-Paulhat church

Pont-du-Château

Rebuilt in the late 16th century in the style of the 12th century, Notre-Dame-de-Paulhat is admired for its vaulted nave, porch and high altar featuring a pelican.

Destroyed in 1356, then rebuilt in 1384, only to be destroyed again during the religious wars raging at the time, the present church was built in the 16th century. Its style is strongly inspired by 12th-century Romanesque architecture from Auvergne.
