Designed as a real mountain bike journey, the Grande Traversée du Livradois-Forez is generally completed over 6 days, allowing you to gradually discover the region's wealth of natural and cultural heritage.

From the first few kilometres through the plateaux and gorges of the Dore to the vast highlands of the Hautes-Chaumes du Forez, the route leads through deep forests, picturesque villages and open vistas. The passage through the Casade plateau and La Chaise-Dieu, famous for its abbey, marks a key stage in the route before reaching the emblematic passes of Forez and the massif's highest point, Pierre-sur-Haute (1,634 m). On a clear day, the views extend as far as the Puys range and the Alps.

This stage-by-stage progression offers a real mountain bike experience, alternating effort, discovery and moments of contemplation in the heart of the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park.
