A family walk around the unspoilt villages of the Saint-Genès-Champanelle commune. Discover the local heritage (church, wash-house, oven…) in an atmosphere that is both open and forested.
Step 1 : Arrive at the road, cross it and go straight up the small path. At the end of the lane, turn left and walk down to the church.
Step 2 : At the church, go straight on towards Beaune Le Chaud (signpost). Follow the yellow circles.
Step 3 : Arrived at the road, turn left (follow yellow circles) then right towards Laschamps (signpost). Follow yellow circles and turn left at the crow’s-foot.
Step 4 : At the small signpost, turn right towards Laschamps.
Step 5 : At the crossroads, go straight ahead.
Step 6 : At the end of the track, turn left, walk 100 m and turn left again. Continue straight ahead on this path.
Step 7 : At the small signpost, turn left towards Beaune Le Chaud.
Step 8 : At the signpost, turn left towards Beaune Le Chaud.
Step 9 : Take the 2nd track on the right at the bottom of the descent (yellow cross).
Step 10 : At the crow’s-foot, take the left-hand track and go straight on to the road.
Step 11 : Cross the road and take the track opposite.
Step 12 : At the road, turn left and follow the road uphill.
Step 13 : At the 2nd roundabout, follow signs for Chatrat. Be careful when driving on a road with no shoulder.
Step 14 : Take a right towards St Genès Champanelle (small signpost), pass the stadium and return to L’Escapad’.

Access
Road access to L’Escapad’ – 1 chemin du Château – 63122 Saint-Genès-Champanelle Le Bourg.
From Clermont-Ferrand, take the N89 via Beaumont, Ceyrat, Saulzet-Le-Chaud then Theix.
Continue on the D90 to Saint-Genès-Champanelle Le Bourg or via Royat, Charade, Manson then Thèdes (D90).
