This tour takes you to the Saint-Aubin chapel, to discover the Chabanat spring, reputed to heal visitors’ eyes.

Step 1 : Au départ de l’Escapad’, passer derrière l’église et prendre le passage piétons. Au niveau de la mairie, se rendre au mât directionnel et prendre direction « Chatrat ». Tourner à gauche et passer devant le cimetière.

Step 2 : Arrivé à la route, prendre à droite sur 300 mètres puis bifurquer sur le chemin à votre gauche après la carrière à chevaux. Au croisement, prendre à droite sur le sentier principal jusqu’à « Manson ».

Step 3 : Au niveau du lavoir, prendre à gauche la direction “Laschamps”.

Step 4 : Au sommet de la montée, prendre à droite jusqu’à la route, puis tourner à gauche, en longeant la route jusqu’à la « Chapelle Saint-Aubin ».

Step 5 : Après la chapelle, continuer sur 500 mètres environ sur la route puis prendre le chemin à gauche (suivre les ronds jaunes).

Step 6 : Au sommet de la montée, prendre à droite, au croisement se diriger sur la gauche en direction de « Saint-Genès-Champanelle ». Aller tout droit.

Step 7 : Dans Chatrat, passer entre les deux fontaines et prendre à gauche en restant sur la route principale.

Step 8 : Au niveau de la route départementale, prendre à droite jusqu’à l’abribus, puis tourner à gauche. Suivre le chemin emprunté à l’aller pour revenir à l’Escapad’.

From Clermont-Ferrand, take the N89 via Beaumont, Ceyrat, Saulzet-Le-Chaud then Theix.
Continue on the D90 to Saint-Genès-Champanelle Le Bourg or via Royat, Charade, Manson then Thèdes (D90).
