Route description

Starting in Chanonat, mountain bike trail No. 18 (9.5 km, 190 m elevation gain) runs along the Auzon Valley. A hilly and varied route through the hillsides, woodlands, and charming villages at the foot of Montagne de la Serre.

Departing from La Roche-Blanche, two circuits invite you to discover a variety of landscapes, from the Gergovie plateau to the verdant forests of the Val d’Auzon, while enjoying superb panoramic views. A stop at the Musée Archéologique de la Bataille is a must for history buffs, to relive the legendary(…)

Trail highlights

The Base VTT des Volcans is a veritable playground for lovers of nature, heritage and mountain biking. Located south of Clermont-Ferrand, this accredited base offers 25 marked trails, accessible from 6 starting villages : Mirefleurs, La Roche-Blanche, Authezat, Saint-Saturnin, Vic-le-Comte and Aydat.
