The grand tour between puys and couze
The walk begins in Champeix, a charming village with picturesque little streets, crossed by the river Couze Chambon and dominated by its imposing Marchidial.
As you walk along, the Grand Tour entre Puys et Couze reveals a mosaic of landscapes: lush green valleys, rocky peaks, basalt cliffs and paths lined with low walls.
The route passes through the villages of Montaigut-le-Blanc and Saint-Julien, where you can discover the old Saint-Nectaire cheese maturing cellars, before enjoying superb panoramic views of the Sancy massif, the Chaîne des Puys and the Livradois-Forez region.
A wonderful blend of nature, heritage and Auvergne volcanoes.
