A 114-kilometre loop, the GR®441 takes six days to discover the famous volcanoes of the Chaine des Puys : a group of volcanoes located in the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d’Auvergne to the west of Clermont-Ferrand.
Departing from Volvic in the north, passing Vulcania and the summit of the Puy de Dôme, we will discover the sumptuous landscapes formed by these craters, which look as if they are still active.

– You can opt for a shorter version (3 or 4 days), via the Col de Ceyssat / Olby (GR® 441 A) or Récoleine / Olby (GR® 441 B) junctions, with a choice of either the northern or southern part of the Chaîne des Puys.
– In summer and winter alike, the Chaîne des Puys offers breathtaking scenery.
From 01/01 to 31/12 daily.

For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on weather conditions, some routes may not be passable in winter.

The starting point for the GR® 441 is in Volvic, at the Société des Eaux parking lot (described in the topoguide®).
