Lac de La Cassière

Aydat

Lac de La Cassière, at an altitude of 861 meters, is reserved exclusively for fishing. Located 15 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand, it’s an ideal place for family relaxation. The lake is closed to swimming.

Born of a volcanic eruption, like Lac d’Aydat, Lac de La Cassière is of natural origin, formed by the flow of lava from the puys of La Vache and Lassolas. It’s known for its wildly fluctuating water levels, which remain unexplained to this day.
