A mountain bike ride along the river and through Arverni history, starting from Mirefleurs

Setting off from the Via Allier car park in Mirefleurs, mountain bike route no. 21 – Gondole invites you on a wonderful ride along the River Allier. Stretching over 17 km with a very manageable elevation gain (+190 m), this route combines the charm of the riverside with the chance to explore one of the region’s three major Gallic sites.

Highlights of the mountain bike route :
• The Gondole oppidum : Visit the iconic site of Gondole (at Le Cendre), an ancient Arverni fortified settlement contemporary with Gergovie and Corent.
• Along the Allier and Auzon rivers : Enjoy the refreshing setting of the landscaped banks of the Allier and the Auzon stream.
• A very pleasant route : A smooth route alternating between easy-to-ride farm tracks, shaded sections and stretches of greenway.
